The Open University Students Association in Northern Europe

The Assembly is a group of students who volunteer their time to meet and discuss issues affecting students in the region. We consist of officers and representatives from the region, as well as a member of the Executive Committee.

The Central Executive Committee Member for Northern Europe is Simone Berger:
For the first time I met OUSA reps and members in May in person. The talks made me curious and I wanted to become involved. I have studied with the OU since 2004 and finished the MBA and the MEd. Currently I am studying towards the MSc in Research in Business and Management which I will finish in 2013. I highly support the system of the OU and believe, that education is central to both professional and personal development in the future. I would like to contribute from a North European point of view and I am looking forward to the new challenge. contact Simone

Northern Europe
More than 25,000 OU students study outside the U K and about 3600 of them live in Northern Europe. The Northern Europe Assembly represents the following European countries at the moment: Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, The Czech Republic, and Slovakia. Due to the vast geographical size of our sub-region all meetings of this Assembly are online.

Where websites or Facebook pages are linked these are managed by either past or current students so are not under the direct control of O U S A. The Open University Students Association is not responsible for the content of external internet sites.

Belgium
OUSA Belgium represents and supports the 400 or so OU students living in or near Belgium. In recent years, the Branch has been one of the most active in OUSA, despite its small size, organising a wide range of events, offering a wide range of services (e.g. providing support to students)and representing the interests of students in Belgium within OUSA and the OU. OUSA Belgium represents a flourishing multinational community of students from across Europe.
