The Assembly is a group of students who volunteer their time to meet and discuss issues affecting students in the region. We consist of officers and representatives from the region, as well as a member of the Executive Committee.

Caz WaltonThe Central Executive Committee Member for the North is Caz Walton:The more I get involved with OUSA the more enthusiasm I’m developing for the Association. So much so that I was supposed to be finishing with The OU in summer 2011 following the completion of my BSc Open Hons (made up of Social Science & Philosophy) and moving on to University pastures new to do an MSc in Social Research but in a moment of crazy devotion I’ve signed up for some science and ICT modules with The OU; I just can’t bear to leave! As well as my position as ECM I also dabble in a bit of extra work as a central representative, degree ceremony coordinator and student blogger for the Platform website. I’m thrilled to have been elected as ECM North again, this time with the opportunity to serve a full term. The region is slowly gathering momentum and I want to ensure it’s a veritable hub of activity before I have to hand over to my successor.
